So, I thought I would try to find an article about 2009 predictions to inspire a posting. Of course, I wasn't finding any relevant hits (within the first 3 pages of the millions), so I decided to see if Stephen Abram had anything on his Blog, Stephen's Lighthouse.
He makes reference to the Parade arcticle from two week's ago and outlines just how libraries can save people money during the economic downturn. I first learned of the Parade article from Karen. That article and the NBC Nightly News feature story are great amunition for us! The township "kingdoms" wanting to buy fully loaded police cruisers aren't likely to care, but those in the community that really "care" about the well-being of their neighbors WILL and they are the ones most likely to write the library a check to support a program or upgrade a computer.
